Grilled Salmon

20 min

I'm a flavorful and refreshing combination of smoky salmon, tangy lemon, and herby dill that's perfect for a light dinner. My crispy exterior gives way to a moist and flaky interior.

Ingredients

  • 4 6-ounce salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. 1Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F, and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. 2Place the salmon fillets on a plate or tray and brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. 3Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and minced garlic, making sure to coat evenly.
  4. 4In a small bowl, mix together lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and chopped fresh dill, then brush the mixture onto the salmon fillets.
  5. 5Place the salmon on the grill, skin side down if they had skin, and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the bottom is deeply seared.
  6. 6Flip the salmon over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until cooked through, flakes easily with a fork, and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  7. 7Remove the grilled salmon from the heat and let rest for a minute before serving.
  8. 8Serve the salmon hot, garnished with additional fresh dill if desired.
