Greek Yogurt with Fresh Berries and Mint

15 min

The creamy Greek yogurt is the perfect base for a sweet and tangy mix of fresh berries, mint, and a hint of honey. It's a refreshing and light way to start your day.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 c milk
  • 1 c fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 0.25 c chopped fresh mint
  • 2 tbsp honey (or none, depending on the berries)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 c Greek yogurt

Method

  1. 1In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of fresh mixed berries, such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, with 2 tablespoons of honey, if desired, to balance the sweetness and tartness of the berries
  2. 2Add 0.25 cup of chopped fresh mint to the bowl with the berries and honey, stirring to combine
  3. 3In a separate large bowl, whisk together 1.5 cups of milk with 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, if desired, to create a salted yogurt base
  4. 4Add 1 cup of Greek yogurt to the bowl with the milk and salt mixture, whisking until smooth and creamy
  5. 5Combine the yogurt mixture from the large bowl with the berry and mint mixture from the small bowl, stirring gently to combine
  6. 6Taste and adjust the sweetness or saltiness of the mixture as needed
  7. 7Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together
  8. 8Serve the Greek yogurt with fresh berries and mint chilled, garnished with additional mint leaves if desired
