Gout-friendly meal planning

Low-purine weeks, planned

Gout planning is mostly about what NOT to eat — and purines hide in foods that look virtuous. Plate Planner’s gout profile keeps the offenders out of every generated meal so you don’t have to police each recipe.

Turn it on once; every meal, swap and side respects it.

What the profile does
What it plans with, and around
Planned with
  • Low-fat dairy and eggs.
  • Vegetables, generously.
  • Whole grains.
  • Water-rich dishes, since hydration is part of the pattern.
Kept out, or kept small
  • Organ meats, red meat and game.
  • Anchovies, sardines and shellfish.
  • Alcohol — and beer in particular.
  • Moderate-purine foods, kept to small portions rather than removed.

Set it once, in seconds. Turn the profile on in your nutrition goals and every meal, swap, side dish and what-can-I-make suggestion respects it — for you, and for anyone you add to your table. Free, no account needed to start.

Common questions
Will this prevent flares?

No app can promise that — diet is one trigger among several, and our content is AI-generated general guidance. It removes the classic dietary triggers from your plan; your treatment stays with your doctor.

Is chicken allowed?

Poultry is moderate-purine, so the planner uses it in sensible portions rather than making it the nightly centrepiece.

What about sweets?

High-fructose sweets are a known gout consideration; generated meals keep added sugar low by default, and you can stack the diabetes-friendly profile for a stricter sugar posture.

Aren’t vegetables high in purines too?

Some are, and this is where gout planning gets confusing. The profile treats plant sources differently from organ meat, seafood and alcohol, which are the ones it removes outright — vegetables stay in the week.

Can I eat fish at all?

The profile leaves out the highest-purine ones — anchovies and sardines — and shellfish. It doesn’t treat every fish as equivalent, so a plan is not automatically fish-free.

Does it handle gout with weight loss?

Stack gout-friendly with the low-calorie collection or the GLP-1 profile if you’re on a medication. Each profile keeps its own rules, and dishes are generated against all of them at once.

What if my partner doesn’t need this?

Household mode plans a single dish that works for the table rather than two dinners. Their portion just isn’t constrained by the purine rules.

Is there a paywall?

No. A full planned week with recipes, nutrition and the grocery list is free, and you can start without an account.
