Steak with Garlic Mayo

20 min

The richness of the ribeye steak is elevated by the pungency of garlic and the subtle tang of lemon juice, all wrapped up in a creamy mayonnaise sauce. It's a match made in heaven.

Ingredients

  • 2 3-ounce ribeye steaks, at room temperature
  • 1 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Method

  1. 1Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, until the grates are hot and almost smoking.
  2. 2Season the steaks with salt and pepper, making sure to coat them evenly.
  3. 3Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 130-135 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare.
  4. 4While the steaks are cooking, mix the minced garlic and mayonnaise in a small bowl until well combined.
  5. 5Stir the lemon juice and Dijon mustard into the garlic mayonnaise, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. 6Once the steaks are cooked, let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing them thinly against the grain.
  7. 7Spread a layer of garlic mayo on each steak, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
