I'm a quick and easy stir-fry made with juicy chicken, crunchy green beans, and a savory blend of garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. The red pepper flakes add a touch of heat to this fast and flavorful dish.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Method
- 1Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat until it starts to shimmer.
- 2Add the chicken to the wok and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside, leaving the oil and juices behind.
- 4Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok, then stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- 5Add the green beans to the wok and cook, stirring frequently, until they start to soften, about 3-4 minutes.
- 6Add the cooked chicken back to the wok, then stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and red pepper flakes, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the ingredients are well combined.
- 7Season the stir-fry with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately.
- 8Transfer the stir-fry to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds or sliced scallions, if desired.
